Getting started
Setting up a planner in Planye is naming a few categories for however your week is actually shaped and writing this week into them. A fresh account opens onto a short welcome with two ways forward, a guided tour or straight in, and neither is the wrong answer.

The first thing you see
A short welcome with two ways forward: "Show me around" for a guided tour, or "I'll explore on my own" to go straight in. Closing it without picking either works exactly like declining.
What the tour actually shows
It walks the week first: your priorities, habits, categories, and how a task gets written onto a day, with a couple of steps where you add a category or write a task yourself rather than watch one appear.
A shorter second part of the tour points out the spine of tabs down the edge, which is the only navigation in the whole app. For the whole of how to rearrange it, see The spine of tabs.
After those two, every page explains itself: the first time you open a tab, a short tour for it meets you there, and the card in the corner lists the ones you have not seen yet.

Stepping away mid-tour
Close it at any point with the × and it stops. A small card stays in the corner listing what you've seen and what you haven't, so picking it back up later is one click rather than starting over.

- Write this week into them. That's the whole setup.

Questions about starting out
The details, for when you want them. Nothing here is required reading.Can I take the tour again later?
Yes. The account menu at the foot of the spine has Take the tour, and it runs the tour for the page you are standing on, so asking from Money explains Money. Beside that, the small i next to a thing opens the short tour about that one thing, whenever you want it.
Can I plan on my laptop and read it on my phone?
Yes, that's the point of signing in. What differs between them is what each is good at: a phone captures and corrects, a desk lays things out. See Week categories.
Do I need a connection to get started?
No. The planner on your device is the real one from the first moment, and a connection is only needed to keep it in step with anywhere else you sign in. See Privacy.
Does the tour show up again if I sign in on another device?
No. Where you got to is remembered against your account rather than the device, so signing in somewhere new picks up where you left off.
I've used Planye for months and there's suddenly a tour hint. Why?
The full welcome only greets a genuinely new account. What you're seeing is a small info dot beside something new, which opens a one or two step tour about that thing alone.
Which page of Help should I read first?
This one, then Week categories, since the week is where most of a planner's life happens. Everything else can wait until you want it.
